Engine

  • Cylinder Head (cold) – (48 lb ft original spec changed) 45 lb ft is now correct
  • Crankshaft (mains) – 55 lb ft
  • Main bearing cap – 55 lb ft
  • Connecting rod, big end – SI 20 lb ft, SII onwards 24 lb ft
  • Flywheel – 40 lb ft

Automatic Transmission

  • Drive disc to crankshaft – 40 lb ft
  • Transmission case to converter housing – 9 lb ft
  • Extension housing to transmission case – 9 lb ft
  • Oil pan to transmission case – 9 lb ft
  • Pressure point – 5 lb ft
  • Oil pan drain plug – 12 lb ft

Rear Axle and Gearbox

  • Hypoid bevel pinion nut – 110 lb ft
  • Axle shaft nut – 180 lb ft
  • Crownwheel setscrews – 50 lb ft
  • Differential bearing cap nuts – 53 lb ft
  • Universal joint, metal to rubber, if fitted – 50 lb ft
  • Gearbox mainshaft nuts – 80 lb ft
  • Rear nut, use tool RG 482 – 77 lb ft

Suspension

  • Rear spring u-bolts – 42 lb ft
  • Top fulcrum pin to crossmember, bolts – 48 lb ft
  • Bottom fulcrum pin to crossmember. bolts – 32 lb ft
  • Top swivel bearing to axle carrier – 44 lb ft
  • Bottom swivel bearing to axle carrier – 60 lb ft
  • Bottom swivel bearing to bottom link: 3/8 inch UNF bolt – 26 lb ft, 1/2 inch UNF bolt – 75 lb ft
  • Crossmember to underframe – 62 lb ft
  • Roadwheel nuts – 48 lb ft
  • Eye bolt. Trunion to link: Lock 85 lb ft, Castled 40 lb ft
  • Ball pin. Stub carrier to link – 53 lb ft
  • Ball pin. Housing to link – 33 lb ft

Steering

  • Steering box to underframe – 30 lb ft
  • Relay lever assembly to underframe – 30 lb ft
  • Steering linkage taper pins – 30 lb ft
  • Swing lever to rocker shaft – 75 lb ft

Brakes

  • Steering arm to back plate – 48 lb ft
  • Backplate to hub – 34 lb ft
  • Disc to hub – 38 lb ft
  • Bleed screws – 6 lb ft
  • Union nuts, male – 7 lb ft
  • Union nuts, female – 9 lb ft
  • Back plate to axle casing – 17 lb ft
